London calling – 1st Day

London Diary: All this happened on the first day Friday, 3rd of June. Get up early. Very very early. As a matter of fact: We are leaving Ketsch at 3 a.m. (!!!) by bus; departure time of our plane is at 7.30 Stuttgart airport and we must be there 120 minutes before departure time! Arrival time in London Stansted is at 8.40 o'clock a.m. The express train takes us to Liverpool Street in about 45 minutes. Then we must change trains and take the underground, at last the Jubilee Line. Finally we must change trains again and take the DLR, the Docklands Light Railways to Royal Victoria in the docklands. It is about 11 o'clock. We are very tired, but we must wait until 2 p. m., the check-in time at the London Ibis Excel Hotel. Our curiosity keeps us awake, and we start for a little walk in Westminster, where there are important sights of London, such as the Houses of Parliament, London Eye, London Bridge. We stroll along the Themse, having a glimpse on vivid Trafalgar Square. At Stuttgart Airport, around 7 o'clock a.m.
